On a slow sunday morning, S was browsing through the local newspaper while enjoying his cup of coffee; and fortunate for me (ofcourse unfortunate for S), my eyes reached for the advert that said "Sunday Farmer's Market - Open from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm". Immediately my eyes raced for the clock above my head, it showed as 11.55 am.
I didnt say a word and just spared an innocent "Shall we go?" look at S. With his typical smile, he nodded and asked me to get ready.
Last Sunday we had been to Farmer's market near my residence and it was so colourful with all fruits and vegetables in display. It is the perfect place to pick up the freshest seasonal produce grown in California. I purchased cherries, strawberries and peaches. We ended up finishing the fresh crunchy strawberries before we reached home.
The post for today is a bowl of fresh colourful vegetable salad. Its super delicious and super healthy. Do give it a try!

Chop all the vegetables into small cubes. Toss them all together in a bowl and pour in the salad dressing. Serve immediately.

- 1 chopped tomatoes
- 1 yellow bell peppers
- 1 red bell peppers
- 1 cup cooked cornkernels
- 1 tbs chopped coriander
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1-2 tsp balsemic vinegar
- 1-2 tsp white vinegar
- 1tsp lime juice
- salt & pepper to taste

I love my trips to the farmer's market too.. esp. with my daughter :) It's so much fun and reminds me of my visits to the market with my grandmom/mom.
